A filtered web for teens
Kindredly is a kid-friendly browser for iPhone, iPad and Android, and an extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox.
With Library mode off, your child uses the open web, and Kindredly blocks inappropriate words and images. Children 14 and up start this way: Moderate at 14–15, Relaxed from 16.
What it blocks
Settings → your child → Filtering and blocking.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Filtering strictness | Words and text on web pages and in search results: Light, Relaxed, Moderate or Strict |
| Images → Image censoring | Inappropriate images, hidden on any website: Relaxed, Moderate or Strict; starts at Moderate |
| Images → Block suggestive images | Includes sexy or suggestive images, not just clearly explicit ones |
| Social media → Block social media | TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and other social media; on for every new child |
| Blocked sites → Block a site | Sites you name, by address |
When something is blocked
Your child sees why, with Send request and Ask in person. You answer on the Requests page.
What you can see
Usage, History and Insights for each child. History is kept 14 days on Standard and up to 365 on Plus, encrypted so only you can read it.
